Lak Lake is a freshwater lake located about 50km in the south of Buon Ma Thuot City. The lake is situated near Lac Thien Town in Lak District. Lak Lake lies on a height of 500m above sea level, with total area of 700-900 hectare in rainy season. It is surrounded by a large growth-old forest with abundant biodiversity and Jun village with long-lasting and unique tradition.

Visiting Lak Lake, you will have chance to go around the lake by elephant. Sitting on giant elephant and exploring the beauty of the lake as well as daily activities and cultures of M’Nong people living on the lakeside is an unforgettable experience.

After discovering Lak Lake by elephant, you can take a dugout to row around the lake. On this area, there is a palace built by King Bao Dai – the latest King of Nguyen Dynasty. Bao Dai Palace was built for the king to relax, hunting and train the army. Standing on the palace, you can see the whole view of Lak Lake which is very spectacular and imposing. You can see the combination of immense lake, green forest surrounding and M’Nong’s villages lying behind tall trees.

You can stay in bungalows built in growth-old forest. They are quiet and separate, but also furnished and modern. You can also choose to live with local people to experience the normal life of ethnic minority.

Lak Lake brings a lot of amazing fishes to make am azing foods. And the most famous one is bronze featherback – a featured fish living in freshwater lake. This fish caught from Lak Lake is always better than other lakes. It can used to make different dishes such as grilled chopped fish, hot pot and sour soup.
